Plinko for real money in Australia: the checks before a first deposit

Casino Plinko for real money means an offshore casino, because online casinos are not licensed in Australia. Here’s what we check at each one before it gets a button on this site, and what the first 21 checks turned up.

Where real-money Plinko sits in Australian law

Online casino games can’t legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 prohibits providing them, and the Australian Communications and Media Authority enforces it against operators and advertisers, not against players 1. Since 2019 ACMA has asked internet providers to block the sites of offshore casinos and of affiliates that promote them; its list ran to 1,811 domains when we downloaded it 2. Blocked casinos keep operating from numbered mirror addresses.

So every casino that offers Plinko to Australians is offshore, holds whatever licence its own footer shows (often none), and sits outside Australian consumer protection. BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian wagering only. None of that stops a drop from being provably fair; it does change what’s worth checking first.

What we check at each casino

  1. Which Plinko, at which RTP. The lobby names the provider; the game’s own info screen shows the payout table and RTP. BGaming sells casinos custom versions, so the number in that screen is the one that counts. Our RTP page lists what each provider publishes.
  2. What the footer says. We write down the licence and operator exactly as shown, or note that nothing is shown. Several casinos that take Australians show no licence at all.
  3. The cashier in AUD. Minimum deposit, methods, fees, whether PayID exists, minimum withdrawal and the stated processing time, then the terms that override the cashier’s promises.
  4. The ACMA list and the affiliate program. Whether the casino’s domains are blocked, and whether its affiliate program has a clean payment record and accepts Australian traffic in writing.

A casino gets a button on Pegdrop only after all four are recorded from an Australian connection. As of 29 September 2026, none has.

What 21 casinos showed from an Australian connection

On 28 September 2026 we read the public pages of 21 casinos that accept Australians. Two things stood out for Plinko players.

Plinko is there, but unconfirmed inside the lobbies. Winz lists crash games, Plinko and its own “Winz Originals” on its site 3; Woo lists BGaming among its providers, with a note that NetEnt and Amatic games are closed for Australia under its terms 6. Which version each runs, and at which RTP, needs a logged-in check we haven’t done yet.

The cashier rarely matches the terms. Vegas Now’s cashier marks every withdrawal method “Processing time: Instant” while its FAQ gives longer windows 5; Winz’s home page promises “withdraw in seconds” while its terms only say it “will always try to” 3; Avantgarde’s terms allow “up to 18 working days” for approval 7. Deposits start at $25 at RocketPlay and $30 at Vegas Now, and neither offers PayID 4 5; Winz’s public payments table isn’t in AUD, shows a minimum of 20 in its own currency and has no Australian version 3.

What a button here will mean

When a casino clears the four checks, its button appears on this page and on the version pages, marked as sponsored. We’re paid a fixed fee per new depositing player, never a share of losses, and the fee doesn’t change a figure or the order of anything we list; the disclosure page has the details. Until then, the links on Pegdrop lead to our own guides and the free simulator.

If you do play

  • Read the RTP in the game’s info screen before the first drop.
  • Set a deposit limit in the casino’s account settings first, while the decision is easy.
  • Withdraw winnings rather than letting a balance build at an offshore casino.
  • Keep the game’s own tools in view: Auto mode with a fixed number of drops and a loss stop.

Recreational gambling winnings are not taxed in Australia (ATO ruling IT 2655) 8. Free, confidential support is on 1800 858 858, 24 hours a day; more on the responsible play page.

Questions people ask

Can I play Plinko for real money in Australia?
Online casinos that accept Australians do offer it, but they are offshore: online casinos are not licensed in Australia, and offering them to people here is prohibited under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The law targets the operators, not players.
Which casinos have Plinko?
Any lobby carrying BGaming or Spribe games can have it. Of the 21 casinos we checked from an Australian connection, Winz lists Plinko and crash games on its own site, and Woo lists BGaming among its providers. We haven’t confirmed a version or RTP inside any lobby yet.
Why is there no casino button on this site?
Because none of the 21 casinos checked has cleared every step: most are on ACMA’s blocked-website list, several run affiliate programs with a poor payment record, and none has confirmed in writing that it accepts Australian traffic. A button goes live only after all of that.
What's the minimum deposit for Plinko?
It’s set by the casino, not the game. From an Australian connection on 28 September 2026: RocketPlay from $25, Vegas Now from $30, Winz from a 20-unit minimum in a table that isn’t in AUD. Bets inside the game start from a few cents on the provider’s demo.
Are Plinko winnings taxed in Australia?
Recreational gambling winnings are not taxed in Australia (ATO ruling IT 2655).
